Title: Just Saying Hi

Hey guys i didn't know that i could type stuff here so i stupidly typed all that i wanted to say in the tagboard. Haha. Anyways if you think you don't have the time or are just simply too lazy to scroll down to read all my tags then you could carry on reading what i have to say here.
I have been reading what you all have been putting up on this blog and i think that it is good that the committee got this up so fast. I personally feel that this is a good way to reach out to the band members. I am also happy to know that all of you are very enthusiastic about getting that silver next year. Keep up the good work and continue to keep up the spirit too.
I understand what the current committee is going through at this stage of their leadership because i went through the same, if not worse, situation as them at this point in time last year. The committee needs everyone's support in order to function propperly and work for the band. I feel that there is something lacking in this band. That is the willingness of the members to submit to their leaders' authority. Leaders are put there for a reason, that is to run the band. The leaders this year were elected by the members themselves so there is no reason for any disrespect or disobedience. Remember that one member can cause the whole band to crumble. IT JUST TAKES ONE!!!! But it takes the WHOLE BAND to make it a GOOD one. Members must be more understanding towards their leaders too.
Creating a blog for the band is a form of publicity for the band. I would strongly advise that members use discression when tagging or putting up stuff on this blog. This is because the whole world has access to this and do you want them to read about all the bad stuff going on in band?? This comes to my next point about the anonymous people who have been typing seemingly hurtful comments on this blog. I would like to ask Christina to kindly remove those parts from this blog if it is within your ability to do so. We must remember that our outward appearance to the public is very important.
I understand that many band members are very upset about the comments made and have read about the "scoldings" typed by many of them too. It is good to be concerned about and be defensive when someone says something like this about you. However we must always stop to think if what that person is saying is making any sense. Instead of shutting them off, why not listen to them and see how you can change the situation. Remember that THERE IS NO SMOKE WITHOUT FIRE. There is definately something that that person has observed in order to be able to say such things about you. Let us be people who can annalyse such things and react in a matured manner.
I personally feel that if you people can get defeated so easily because people say such things about you, then i wouldn't even dream of getting that silver next year, if i were you. If you can be defeated so easily just by those few silly comments, how do you expect to be strong enough as a band to overcome the bigger obstacles that you will be facing in future?? Don't you think that you are just making that person happier by acting up and showing that you are unhappy about what that person has said?? Don't you think that his goal is just to make you all upset and hinder you all from focusing on the task at hand which is to practice hard??
My fellow Band Members, let the things in the past be history and focus on what you can do in the future. Always remember that we are improving but we are not there yet. We must always maintain this mindset in order to progress. A truly good band is not one that is only good in music but good in all other aspects.
Lastly, I must admit that i have been pushing you all very hard during the past year. Let bygones be bygones. Let us forget about those ugly moments we've had together. Let us practice happily together the next time we meet and i certainly hope to be received happily by all of you when i come back to visit in the future. Don't worry................i am not back to lecture you. Haha :)
Let us reflect on what has been said and do something about it.
Once again, best wishes to all of you for next year's SYF.
Best regards
Caleb Low
